EMEA PUG Challenge Conference Highlights - nicht verpassen!

Posted by Mike Fechner on 30-Sep-2014 23:51

Mike Fechner

Betreff: EMEA PUG Challenge Conference Highlights - book now to avoid disappointment

News from the PUG Challenge 2014!
Some highlights of the conference - book soon to avoid the late booking fee!

General registration closes on Wednesday 15th October so book now to avoid paying the late booking fee. Here are some conference highlights to whet your appetite.

Keynote speakers

Our Progress Software Corporation keynote speakers are Jerry Rulli, president of the OpenEdge Business Unit and Karen Padir, president of the App Dev Business Unit.

Some highlight sessions

We have very many interesting sessions from the community and from PSC, but here are a couple of particularly exciting showcase sessions. We will feature some more in future emails. See the website for the full list.

1 Digital passport of your feet!
The latest solution for the Macintosh Retail Group uses “foot scanners” to allow customers to create a digital passport of their feet to be matched against the current stock in the store. In future, customers can use the digital passport to shop on the internet knowing that the shoes they select will be sure to fit. The solution uses most of the current portfolio of Progress tools, including OpenEdge, BPM, Cortican and Rollbase.

2 Integrating OpenEdge, Twitter, Node.js, HTTP, .Net, JMS, etc - Oh My!
From the ever popular Julian Lyndon-Smith, see how a real-world application running under 11.3 of Progress integrates with various other technologies such as twitter, email, web servers, node.js, messaging servers, telephone systems, .net and even basics such as os-command.

Sponsorship Opportunities still available

This conference attracts many decision makers and influencers in the EMEA region so if you sell to the Progress community, you need a sponsorship package. Our packages are very affordable and a great way to increase your visibility in the marketplace.

Community Workshops

There are still some places available on these valuable workshops:
  • OO is a programming paradigm that all of us in the Progress world need to be familiar with. It aids productivity and maintenance by allowing our code to be better structured and maintainable and also by performing a lot more compile time checking on our code. Tim Kuehn will deliver an all day introductory workshop on OO. If you are not already familiar with it, this workshop is a must!
  • For those of you administering Progress-based systems from Enterprise to small business, Business Continuity is crucial. Gilles Querret and Paul Koufalis are acknowledged experts in this field and will deliver a one-day workshop on the subject
There is a charge of €300 for these workshop but they are for a full day and represent exceptional value for money.

If you are involved with Progress-based applications, you can't afford to miss this conference - don't delay, book today!
