I am looking for a page somewhere that explains the benefits of OpenEdge 12.2 as a long term support release. There was plenty of talk about it at the PUGs and some customers are asking questions but my friend Google is not finding any supporting material on Progress.com this morning.

The work on the updated OpenEdge life cycle policy is progressing well. The policy is in the third round of internal review and at some point prior to 12.2 I expect it to be published.
You are bringing up a good point though. In addition to the fine print we are refining for the policy, it would be nice to have the benefits of LTS explained clearly for all of us. Let me look into this.

I do also talk to 2 customers right now where we need to know if we go live on 11.7.x or 12.2. Details on availability of LTS Releases may influence those decisions.
