Customer needs to send memeberinfo to 100K members

I have read about mailChimp and ManDrill, and just wonder if anyone have other preferrences for sending large quantities of emails? 

By the way, is it so that mailChimp is the subscribelists and ManDrill is the tool for sendinger emails? Does anyone have som code to share regarding this?
