Like James, some of us fill in the notes on the slides to correspond with what we intended to say and publish in a form which includes those notes. I do PDF so that one can easily see slide and notes at the same time. Likewise, for demos, I try to include a slide or two which conveys the essence of the demo, although that is not always easily done.
"DBAnalys to the Rescue" also has the notes on the slides. ;-)
