Electronic Software Distribution web site

We have recently upgraded the Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) web site that is used to download new software releases, service packs and hot fixes. We have redesigned the web site for a more modern, secure, and easy to use interface. 

Some new features you may notice: 

Log-in (Progress ID)
The new ESD web site uses the Progress ID. This is the same log-in technology now used on all of Progress' web sites. This means that your Progress log in and password will now work across all Progress ID sites. 

ESD User Administration

1. Improved point and click ability to view and maintain your accounts and user access. There are new tabs for End User and Customer account administration, with links to expand additional information for each account.
   
   
2. Adding new users is simpler, your account administrator will send an invitation, and the new user will receive an email. This user will then click on a link provided in the email, and complete the registration process by filling out a registration form on the Progress web site. This was done to enhance log in security, and provide a validation of the user’s email address.

Updated Download Center Navigation Guide
There is an updated Download Navigation Guide posted on the web site, to help walk you through the screen and functions of ESD. The guide can be viewed here.
