PUG Challenge: "Know Before You Go"

Posted by Jean Richert on 03-Jun-2015 02:19

I just wanted to relay the email below through our Community in case some of you haven't seen it. Useful information from the PUG Challenge conference team.

It's hard to believe we are less than one week from this year's PUG Challenge Americas!

We look forward to having you join us for this premiere Progress OpenEdge event.

Below are a few important reminders and tips to help you leverage the most out of
the conference...

Download the Mobile Event App
PUG Challenge attendees are invited to download the Mobile Event App for the Conference. EventBoard is
available for Apple devices (including iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad), Android, and Windows 7 & 8 (sorry,
Blackberry addicts).  Both the app and the conference agenda are free to download and install.  EventBoard
allows you to view and search for conference sessions by name, speaker, track, time slot, and keyword/tags.
Once a conference catalog is downloaded, the information is stored locally on your device, making it accessible
even if you’re not, and without the need for WiFi or a constant mobile connection.  Point your mobile device
to the link referenced above or your App Store to download EventBoard directly.  Once the app is loaded,
scroll through available events to pull up the PUG Challenge event and load on your device.

Bus Transportation

Bus transportation is provided to attendees for the following events:

**Sunday Workshops:

Transportation

The Westford Regency Inn is about a 35 mile drive from Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS),  about 30
miles from Manchester-Boston Airport (MHT) in New Hampshire, and about 35 miles from Worcester Regional
Airport (ORH) in Central Massachusetts.  Cab fare from any regional airport is upwards of $80 each way. The hotel
recommends scheduled airport pick-ups via ShortRide, a local car service covering the Boston Metro area.  For
rates, information and scheduled pick-ups please  call: (781) 275-2065.  Complimentary self-parking is available
at the hotel for all registered guests.

RIDE SHARE:
If you are looking to share a ride to or from the airport post your availability to provide or your interest
in finding a ride HERE.

Attire

Attire for the PUG Challenge Conference is casual.

Weather

The weather forecast for Westford calls for partly cloudy skies on Sunday with scattered showers and
thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday. Daytime highs will range from the low 70s Sunday and Monday
to the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Since temperature in hotel meeting rooms varies, we suggest that
you wear layered clothing to ensure that you’re comfortable.

Social Media

We strongly encourage each of you to use your own social media accounts to report live from PCA, spread the
word about what you see and hear, and share some of the exciting announcements that will be made at the show.

Be Technically Prepared

Remember to bring any cables, plugs, adapters, mice, etc. that you will need for your devices. WiFi internet
access is available throughout the hotel's public areas and meeting rooms at no charge to attendees.
