I am giving a query which returns with a set of data. That is in XML format with node pre-fixed with 'db:' how to create a java object with that name?

I don't understand what you are trying to achieve. The namespace prefix db: seems to point to the sonic database service. So if you elaborate a bit what you trying to do we can point you in the right direction.
