Need Help on Sonic Integration workbench v6.1

Posted by Admin on 18-May-2010 05:14

Hi,

I am new to Sonic Integration workbench v6.1,although i worked on version 7.6.

I am facing a problem regarding reinstalling Sonic Integration Workbench 6.1,as due to some problem i had uninstalled sonic from the uninstall.bat file found in sonic install directory of my Pc,it shown that sonic uninstalled completely but now I am unable to reinstall it on the same machine as whenever i run the setup.bat file for installlation it always says"There is an installation conflict, this product is already installed on this machine".

Any one can help me please I am facing this issue since 2 months did every thing but formating the pc is last option according to me...if there is another option available please let me know.

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

Have you already tried to delete the installation folder with all its components (which were not deteled by the uninstall program) and delete all registry entries for Sonic manually?

Regards,

Michel

Also delete vpd.properties in your windows directory and your user directory (if they exist).

To complete the uninstallation follow these steps:
  1. Go to C:\Program Files\InstallShield      Installation Information

  2. Check for each of the following      directories:

    • {E06C1100-D63D-11DC-95FF-0800200C9A66}If you have installed X Server V 7.6
    • {6682C10C-5DA3-4DA9-805B-C4B3DA34B0B3}If you have installed X Server V 7.5
    • {8DD66E64-CD5E-43F4-AB39-26393C34492E} – If you have installed O Server V 7.5
    • {37D49431-1F32-460A-AE50-45E1301DB306} - If you have installed X Server V 7.0
    • {7884AEA8-DF09-477F-A986-384D604A0547} If you have installed O Server V 7.0
    • {4EA06E16-9E47-4CC5-AC8F-5CFAAB1BD0B6} - If you have installed X Server V       6.1
    • {0A937D5A-8106-4BA7-9576-DE1BF9CA22CF} - If you have installed O Server V 6.1
    • {90E44AC2-F963-4404-B40A-8886990B6F01} - If you have installed C Server V 6.1

  1. If the directory exists and it contains setup.exe, run the setup.exe in the directory.  (This will actually uninstall, even though it seems like it would be      installing.) You do not need to reboot at the end.

  2. If the directory exists and it is empty or setup.exe will not run, delete the directory.  You will need to remove the appropriate Sonic services, using sc delete service name
