I'm not really quite so sure what is the benefit of this feature to the forum. Other than it is annoying, it also gives a wrong impression that the person who is out of the office will eventually join the thread in some other day which seldom happen.
If PSDN Communities had proper mod's, they'd delete these posts and write the offender a note to get their act together....
