Install Java 1.8 for Progress Openedge 11.6.3

Will new version Java 1.8 work with Openedge 11.6.3? Are there any pre-requisites to install Java 1.8 to replace Java 1.7 which came with OE 11.6?

What part of OpenEdge are you trying to run? openclient, jdbc drivers, adminserver, sqlexplorer?
