Hi All,
We're in the process of upgrading from 10.2 to 11.7 (AIX, CHUI environment).
In 10.2 I could select Tools, Data Dictionary, Database, Reports, Detailed Table and then when typing in a table name enter "_file" or "_field" so I could easily see the metaschema field names.
But in 11.7 when I try it, it says "The entered name does not match any table name in this database".
It feels weird to have this functionality removed (the CHUI functionality doesn't tend to change) so I'm wondering if there's a setting or something that I need to turn on to allow me to do this?
Matt
Are you sure you have enabled hidden fields in the dictionary view? You can do this via 'View > Show hidden tables' in the menu. If I do that, I can see the metaschema tables in the list:
<shameless plug alert/>
Btw, if you only do this to get a view of the metaschema tables, then I can recommend to use DataDigger for this:
It can show you the tables, the fields for that tables and the contents. It is open source, free as in free beer and available at datadigger.wordpress.com
Oop, I just read the 'CHUI' word. So my previous post does not apply
Thank you Valeriy, that worked. I would never have figured it out on my own!
