glibc detected error out of a sudden

Posted by fmodderman@grandvisionbenelux.com on 07-Sep-2017 04:16

I need to use our development environment (10.2B05 under Suse Linux), for some new to develop functionality, but for users other than root, I get the following error:

glibc detected *** /usr/local/OpenEdge/10.2B/bin/_progres: free(): invalid pointer: 0x00854170 ***

Followed by a trace with pointer info.

Any idea where this could be caused by?

Regards, Fred Modderman

Thank you Gary, but I already received the hint for disc space issues. Which was the case.

I knew that disc space was an issue, only it didn't look like all bytes had been used. After the disc space issues were resolved, this error didn't occur anymore.

Disc space problems were the cause of this error

Can you provide the protrace? That might help identify an existing issue.
