ps:escript Web Tools

Hi Guys,

I've got a bit of an issue I'm really struggling with. Our website uses ps:escript and as such has the standard web tools login.p this is accessible to internal and external users on our servers. Does anybody know if there is a way to disable access to this?

Hi Michael

Assuming that you do not want to make the ps:eScript web tools available to anybody, internal or external, then the simplest thing to do is not deploy them. If you are using Progress built procedure libraries, then the .pl to remove from the PROPATH is pseweb.pl. I would suggest doing this in a test environment first, just in case there is something in the application that references a program in there.

I agree with Chris, remove pseweb.pl from your production server. The Webtools were not designed to be deployed in a Live environment, at least not in their supplied state.
