Merge prop to conmgr.properties

Posted by katammi1 on 27-Feb-2015 01:28

Hi, I have a problem with transferring the open edge management explorer to another, newer, server (read copying the conmgr.properties to another server). Progress is version 10.2b.

It needs to be modified somehow like this: copying the conmgr.properties to another folder (not direct to dlc102b\properties) and modifying/running it with merge prop to as a delta and the to the orginal properties folder.

Any better advice to this process? I tried already find from the OE Documentation but did not succeed...

Thanks for any help!

Br, Katriina

You should be able to just copy the conmgr.properties from one DLC\properties to another DLC\properties without any change, but to answer your question:

mergeprop -action update -type database -delta conmgr-delta.properties

Great! Thanks! - that's what I have done many times before but it seems to, sometimes, create a mess with extra lines etc.

But the command script you added was the answer I was looking for. I'll try that!

If by mess with extra lines you mean lines with # at the beginning, just wipe them.

You should wipe them anyway. They can cause horrendous startup times of the admin server.
