How to Crash an OE 11.5 Session

Posted by Jeff Ledbetter on 16-Jan-2015 07:16

OE 11.5 will crash in a very ugly way on Windows 7 with the following code if the registry key does not exist.

&GLOBAL-DEFINE REG-KEY "Software\PSC\Progress\11.4"

LOAD {&REG-KEY} NO-ERROR.

IF ERROR-STATUS:ERROR THEN LOAD {&REG-KEY} NEW.

USE {&REG-KEY}.

LOL. If you are asking how ‘old’ this defect is then I logged it 3 mins after you posted the crash on the forum as I was able to reproduce it on 11.5
