OpenEdge 11.5 explorer problem

Posted by patrick.elsen on 29-Dec-2014 18:29

I have installed OpenEdge 11.5 and created a database and appserver in OpenEdge Explorer. When I click on the appserver or database name to get the details, I get a new window that displays a directory structure: Directory: /resources/ Parent Directory images/ 4096 bytes Dec 29, 2014 11:36:50 PM resalertssummary.jsp 1509 bytes Sep 9, 2014 8:04:21 PM rescontrol.jsp 7062 bytes Sep 9, 2014 7:56:16 PM rescontrolaction.jsp 881 bytes May 23, 2014 4:00:12 AM resourcealerts_incl.jsp 1920 bytes Sep 9, 2014 7:55:18 PM resourcegrid.css 490 bytes May 23, 2014 4:00:09 AM resourcegrid.js 32414 bytes Oct 27, 2014 2:19:19 PM resourcegrid.jsp 2461 bytes Sep 8, 2014 7:03:56 PM resubcontrol.jsp 4761 bytes May 23, 2014 3:59:51 AM Is this a know problem or did I manage to mess something up?

I've just hang the phone with TS about the very same problem..

I'm behind schedule on anual closing procedures, so I've unistalled 11.5 and reinstaled 11.4 . but he's sending an article about this problem..... I'm not following this right now, as have some procedures to finish for this  31th, but he commented about installing 11.5 with supervisor provileges, and deleting some files.. when I get this article, I'll post here...  greetings

I had a problem with various registry entries not being created when installing 11.5 as a normal user.

Installing as admin fixed the problem.

I was running windows 7, 64 bit at the time.

I am running OpenEdge 64-bit under RH Linux and installed as root.

Looking forward to Octavio posting the article from TS

There are a couple of small problems with IE 10 and the javascript toolkit (extjs) that we use which doesn't support ie 10. Use chrome or firefox and see if it still happens.

I am using IE11, and OpenEdge Explorer 11.4 is working fine with IE11.

Will there be a fix for this (new) incompatiblity with IE?

11.5 just shipped so there most likely won't be any fixes for 11.4 unless you request a hotfix.  I'll log a bug so it gets into 11.5.1.  I ask that you report it to tech support so it can be tracked properly.

@Matt I was asking about a fix for 11.5.

It is working ok in 11.4

@Octavio Did you get any feedback from TS?

As I was not having this problem on all servers where I installed 11.5, I did a reset of my IE settings and this made it work ok! Problem was not a OpenEdge explorer problem, but it is solved anyway!
