Hello

We use UFT testing tool from HP for functional testing of out application.

With object spy we try to detect the values for the attributes fot the object on the screen .

This does not work for the Progress browser.

Any idea are welcome

Hi Luc,

When you say Progress browser is it you are referring Appbuilder Browse Widget?

In simple application, where on smart window i have dropped Browse widget. Browse widget is recognized as WinObject and able to add this to repository and view properties on Object spy.

Thanks,

Swathi.

The Browse widget will be recognised, but not all of the content. This is (if memory serves) because the browse widget does not expose any of its internal working to Windows  . Check out the help for WIDGET-ID to get a better idea of what's visible to Windows and not.

Generally, you should use the –usewidgetid option for testing tools.
