Cool – thanks Jeff & Gus for sharing.
 
My favourite part so far is the COMPILE statement.
 
COMPILE
 
PURPOSE
  Compiles a procedure prior to running it.
 
So far so good.

This is most useful as a "startup" procedure to compile all the procedures in an application.  This eliminates the pause to compile a procedure the first time it is run
 
Oh wow.
 
Didn't know about DICTIONARY or ENTERED keywords. The former still works.

there were no r-code files in that version. just in-memory r-code.

What really stands the test of time, are the excellent drawings in page 14-18 of user guide, I still use that similitudes when talking to not literated people about hierarchy data.   finest drawings, at least for an 128 chars ascii table..  Kudos!!!
