11.x Windows platform same version of 32bit and 64bit

KB - Can the same version of 32bit and 64bit products be installation on the same windows machines quotes "Product Management has indicated that there are plans for later releases of OpenEdge 11.x to allow both 32 and 64 bit installs of the same version on Windows, Version and/or date of release are subject to change without notice. However, the 64-bit Windows licenses remain "Server Only" products ie anything that is a client license will remain a 32-bit GUI Client (read: there is no 'prowin64.exe')"

Is this so now? looking at 11.3?

That KB article is out of date. As of 11.3 there is a 64-bit GUI Client on Windows (it is named "prowin.exe", not "prowin64.exe") and the Windows 64 products are no longer "Server Only" products. However, it is not yet possible to install both 32-bit and 64-bit products from the same version on the same machine. We are working on making this possible in a future release.

I will ask to have the article updated with the current information.

John, do you happen to have the KB number so we can quickly go back to it and fix it?

FYI - KB article has been updated to reflect that 64-bit GUI client exists starting with OpenEdge 11.3:
