ODBC - Broker rejects connection

Hi

I'm trying to setup a link to a Progress 10.1B DB via ODBC, I know my settings are correct but when I do a test connect I get the following message:

Broker rejects connection

I found a similar thread about this on the forum but the fix they suggested, "The configuration for ClientType has to allow SQL connections", is already setup so that can't be causing the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are there any messages of interest in the database log file?

How is it that you know the settings are correct? Is this the first ODBC connection to this database? Has ODBC ever worked with it? Are you sure that you have enabled both ABL and SQL connections? Look in the database log to see.

Could you kill the _sqlsrv2 process and see if it will work with a newly spawned _sqlsrv2 process?
