How to Limit result set to specific number of rows in Progre

Hello All:

I usr jdbc to query progress 9.1e, but the record numbers> 10,000, the query time is very long. How to limit result rows?

Upgrade to a remotely recent version of Progress where they have implemented TOP.

But I must use the 9.1E, because the ERP is the use of 9.1E.

Then you will have to do without TOP. Your only option I think way back then is to set the maximum result set in the connection. But, it is also true that people who think they are stuck on an old release because of the ERP they are running are largely mistaken, aka being mislead by their vendor.
