Proposed new community for Model Driven Software Development

Phil Magnay and I would like to propose a new sub-community under OpenEdge to deal with Model Driven Software Development and Analysis.  This would cover UML, MDA, data modelling, UML profiles, UML patterns, and the like.  I would include both the use of models as a tool for developming new software and modeling as a tool for analyzing existing software.  It would make a great place to gather together whitepapers and such that already exist as well as developing FAQs and such to help the new user get started.  And, the forum would provide a community in which those of us using these tools can swap tips, tricks, ideas, and questions.

Great!

I'm currently learning about / coding a MVC pattern and an observer pattern as I build a GUI for .Net to replace a mature Progress GUI.

Is this subject matter you had in mind?

Patterns and modeling are complimentary, but not identical.  EA includes a number of patterns as standard with the product.
