Read from MySQL and update in MySQL

Hello,

Is there anybody who has some experience in reading data from a table in a MySQL database (version 5.1)

I searched the community / progress knowledge base, but I couldn't find any relevant information

any documentation / sample code would be very appreciated

OS : Windows Xp Professional or Windows Server 2003
