Hi, Does anyone have any measure on how OpenEdge performance differs between Linux (probably RedHat version 5) and AIX (version 5.3). Specifically this is OpenEdge 10.2A 64 bit.
The reason for my question is our largest customer is running our software on an AIX P6 server. We have a need to do quite detailed performance testing, but the only server I have available for me to do this on is a Virtual server where I can get a Linux system with similar specs to the AIX server - and I can get TPMC values for each server which will be roughly equivalent.
Is the performance testing I do going to be representative and useful, or is the difference in operating systems going to be significant?
