10.2A - Windows 2008 Clustering?

Posted by Admin on 24-May-2011 09:12

Hello,

We are in the process of upgrading to 10.2A and would like to set our Progress Databases up in cluster mode. We have a Windows 2008 R2 failover cluster configured, however I have not been able to find any documentation on configuring clustering using 2008. From what I have seen it does not look to be currently supported. Has anyone been able to configure clustering using 2008 / Progress?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Brian

Hi Brian,

OpenEdge is still working its way through the certification of Windows 2008 R2 Clusters. We have discovered that Microsoft changed some underlying structures that have required Development to make code changes, which has delayed the certification. Our aim is to eventually certify it with a 10.2B Service Pack but at this time we can't predict which one, or when.
