I have a portal page where I am trying to create a record and the phone number field is allowing me to add text in that field. Also it does not take the formatting as specified in the object definition. When is this likely to be fixed?

Hi Iram,
The feature that you are asking is a Kendo specific feature which is available in New UI. New UI has still not been integrated for portals. We have plans to enhance portals in future when such issues will be addressed.

I agree with the fact that the formatting is a New UI feature however text should not be allowed for a phone number field in any case. Please provide a resolution for that scenario.
Also when exactly are portal issues expected to be addressed? Future is a big vague. Do you have a date scoped out for this?

Sorry for the delayed response. We will get back on this shortly.
Meanwhile as a workaround we have an option to include Kendo UI for portals which allows the user to configure his own kendo validator. In the Portal configuration page we can check the checkbox "Include Kendo UI" to enable that.
