Grid Controls - narrow available choices using another (main

I wanted to narrow the choices in a lookup using the linked main lookup. It is working for the "create new" page. But when I use the object in a grid control, the narrowing is not working. 

Can someone suggest another way of narrowing the choices in a lookup in the Grid Control.

At present, we do not support filtering lookup options for Relationship field in GridControl.

However, we have revised the GridControl UI component to support this behavior in the forthcoming release.

This feature is being released for 4.3.1 release which is scheduled on Oct 1st, 2016.
