4.2 - Number of selected records in a grid across different

Posted by Meryk on 08-Aug-2016 03:37

Hello,

I would like to report a behavior on the selection of records in a grid.

Let's take the view page of an Object A, where there are few related records (of an object B) in a grid.

Now let's select some records in this grid. The number of selected items will be shown at the bottom of the grid like this : "x selected".

Now if we open the view page of a different record of the same Object A, we will see at the bottom of the grid of the related object B, the same "x selected" text, even if there is no record selected yet.

And if other records are selected in this current grid, the number x will get incremented. So we can be in a page where there is no selection and still have a number of selected records displayed. Or a wrong number displayed if we select more records.

It looks like the records selection in the grid is kept unchanged across different records view pages, like it was only one page.

Can anyone confirm this behavior please?

Thank you

Meryem

Hello Ranjana,

I just wanted to check something on this fix: Are you going to clear off the selection on refresh of the page? Or keep any previous selection as it is ?

Thank you

Hi Meryk,

We are going to keep the previous selection as it is , it won't go away on refresh of the page.

Thanks
