Email Server Settings from Master Not Inherited at Customer

Hi

When I setup default Email Server Settings on the Master tenant I want this to be used as the default Email Server Settings for me new customer.

After creating the RB customer the Email Server Settings is set to 'Use Default Settings' but these are not being picked up. Instead I see just Port Number set to '25' and Encryption Level set to 'None'

Is this expected?

Yes that is expected.

Email Server Settings from Master will not  Inherited to Customer account.

Hi Colin,

This is expected behavior and the settings are by default inherited.

When you see the "Use Default Settings" option enabled, it does mean that the Master settings are inherited.

To do a simple test, from tenant, send an email, say all user records list (if you have no records created in other object), the sender email would be still the Master zone's email address/ settings in the received email

Yes as Mani said From address will picked it from master only with displaying the name of Customer.

Thanks Guys, A test email did prove that the Master tenant settings are used. It's just the display that was a little confusing.
