Hello,
I just noticed a bug whereby if you have a 'required' picklist field with a list of values, lets say: item1, item2, item3 and item4 and if you don't click on the picklist field and save the record. It will allow the user to save the record without running any validation or throwing any error messages. After which you would notice that it has selected the first item i.e. item1 in the list when it saved the record. This is not correct behaviour. Could someone please confirm to me if this is a known issue?

We unable to reproduce the issue you mentioned when clicks on save without selecting any value for mandatory picklist we are getting the error message.
Can you please provide more info?

Sorry about that I have just checked it on our master zone and it works fine. Have some javascript code running on our prod system which is messing it up. Should be ok now.
