We have two environments at our customer (test / production). These environments have the same configuration (as far as I can see). Same localization settings, and also the user has the same settings. Rollbase version 3.2.1, browser firefox.
When we enter a date manually in a field the result after saving the record is different:
test:
input: 15-10-15 (dd-mm-yy)
result 15-10-2015
production:
input: 15-10-15 (dd-mm-yy)
result 15-10-0015
Anyone an idea what is causing this?
We've found the solution / workaround for this, change the localization settings for the required language. When it it set to for example: 15-10-15 (dd-mm-yy) The input can be entered with the year in two digits.
Not necessarily Rollbase related, but a while ago I had issues with the way Windows and a backend server treated two digit years - Windows treated two digit years as being between 1930 and 2029, but the server treated the year between 1950 and 2049...
Thanks for the suggestion John,
I can exclude the client (windows) because from my test client I can also connect to the production.
The server side is running on linux / tomcat so I'm now looking in that direction. Probably those have also that kind of settings.
Aede, did you find the cause?
Is this still a problem?
