New UI - JavaScript Error

Posted by Meryk on 15-Sep-2015 10:53

Hello,

We are having a JavaScript Error that keeps appearing in some pages in the new UI.

1st case : Add a button to the Edit page of an object from the object definition. When clicking on that button we get this error : (You don't need the button to do anything, or if you have an action it will perform and then the error will appear).

2nd case : When opening a quick create page from the + icon, and clicking cancel in that page, the same error appears.

Can you help us on how to get rid of this error? Is that a bug, and if yes is it going to be resolved any time soon ?

Thank you

Meryem

Hi,

The following thread might help you to fix the issue.

community.progress.com/.../71212.aspx

To summarize:

The error that you got is related to Kendo UI library. you can ignore that error on console window. It arises when toolbar buttons are configured using templates. This is some issue within kendo library and it seems to be addressed in their latest release. However, this does not affect the button event handler thread.

Thanks and Regards,

Chandra.

Hi Thank you for the reply.

So this means it should be fixed by Kendo, right? Any idea about the timing?

Yes we did mention it is not affecting the button event handling.

Cheers

Hi,

Yes. The issue is already fixed in Kendo.

We might ship these libraries by the time of 4.0.3.0 (tentatively). The release date is not yet finalized.

Regarding case 2:

It is also related to Kendo UI.

Thanks and Regards,

Chandra.
