Connecting Rollbase Private Cloud to mobile appdesigner

Posted by jimgelly on 19-Nov-2014 01:46

Hello,
We have a valid Openedge mobile description.
Running Rollbase 3.0.2 Private Cloud when we attempt to connect the rollbase instance to the mobile development tool we receive.

User USERNAME belongs to RlbTeam_9FE57E8E-1B48-4E56-80A1-DDCDE134C711. Current team is RlbTeam_5436B399-0D56-4C98-8524-A9D71C6EC39E

There is a PSC article on this matter.

This ID is not linked with any Rollbase cloud instance.

When I look in the appdesigner.rollbase.com. it shows my user and RlbTeam_9FE57E8E-1B48-4E56-80A1-DDCDE134C711 as members of a team.

How do I disassociate the RlbTeam_9FE57E8E-1B48-4E56-80A1-DDCDE134C711 and associate the private cloud instance.

I would apprreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Jim.

Hi Jim,

Both Rollbase Private cloud and OE-Mobile uses appdesigner.rollbase.com as the Mobile environment. Currently we have a limitation. i.e., a user who accessed appdesigner.rollbase.com through PDS OE (Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge) to work with OE-Mobile features and the same username cannot be used for the Rollbase Private cloud.

As a workaround please create a new Progress ID from Mobile Development page in Rollbase Private cloud.
  • If any user who creates his first mobile app from PDS OE (Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge) or appdesigner.rollbase.com directly, then the specific user cannot be used for Rollbase Private cloud for mobile functionality
  • If any user who creates his first mobile app from Rollbase Private Cloud then the specific user can be used from PDS OE (OE-Mobile) as well.
We are resolving this limitation and the fix should be available in Rollbase 3.1 release (which is scheduled for December 2014). i.e., starting from 3.1 release one user can be part of multiple teams.
Thanks and Regards,
Anil Kumar.
