Error after Rollbase installation

Posted by victorshi on 10-Nov-2014 22:32

Hi Guys

I installed a local dev version of the RB. I followed the steps described in the book(Rollbase in action). Everything seems fine. I successfully received the email from RB with the url and temp password. But when I tried to log in, I got the error said "Error retrieving globally unique id. Please verify that Router component is running and available on http://localhost:/router/servlet/Component" I checked the tomecat log. There were no errors and all services were all started. Can someone please tell me what went wrong and how to fix it?

Cheers

Your URL http://localhost:/router/servlet/Component seems missing port. Can you confirm that your License.xml contains appropriate HostName information?

Also check your shared.properties for HostName value.

If this installation is configured to run without port (i.e. on 80), then please update/verify the components.xml and shared.properties (WebSiteHTTP, HostName) for the same. BTW Are you using PAS?

(FYI. the term "PAS" is for Pacific AppServer. This is the default WebServer that comes with the Rollbase installation. Alternately you could install Rollbase into your own WebServer. The question:
"Are you using PAS?"
is just asking:
"Are you using your own WebServer, or the one that came with Rollbase?")=

Hi Victor,

Please restart Tomcat and let me know if the problem persists.

Thanks,
Godfrey
