Firebird support into Rollbase

Posted by pacificenthusiast.1001 on 25-Sep-2014 18:16

Hi guys,

I have a Firebird database on-premise (http://www.firebirdsql.org/). I want to create a Rollbase application whose data (objects) are obtained from the Firebird database.

I need to have your advice on how I can configure a solution with Rollbase using data from Firebird (actually, I don't know if DataDirect is required and if it support Firebird database).

Regards,
Jhon.

Hi,

You can use Rollbase external tables feature to create an app from the database tables.

Just a question….

Rollbase can only use External Database Tables if the database with the tables is the same database that Rollbase uses for its native storage.  Is Firebird a supported database for Rollbase Private Cloud?  (Ext.Db.Tbls also requires private cloud).

Rollbase does not support Firebird, and as far as I know has never even be tested with it.
