rbf_setLookupFilter() and limitations

Posted by smartsysISV on 15-Sep-2014 17:11

With rbf_setLookupFilter() i can set filter on one field in the related object.

Can I send multiple rbf_setLookupFilter() with fileds, filters on different related fields and get an "AND"-filter?

Is it possible to filter on more than one related value, at all?

Is it possible to use wildcards in filtering related text-coloumn?

Hi Stein,

I also cannot create multiple rbf_setLookUpFilter() on a single selector to filter multiple fields. I also tried passing array values to the filter but no luck. I believe this is a limitation with the API itself. I think this is a good functionality request and can be posted in the Ideas section.

Thank you,
Gian

Hi Stein,

"Is it possible to filter on more than one related value, at all?"

Do you want to restrict the values available in a lookup based on the parent object?

Could you provide an example of what you aim to achieve?

I would like to know the answer to this question as well. I have communicated this suggestion / question to a Rollbase developer via the phone last week.

As I posted last time, I believe this is a limitation on the API itself. However, this might be a good functionality request and can be posted in the Ideas section.

Thank you,
Gian
