DoubleClick on Workflow-button

Posted by smartsysISV on 12-Sep-2014 08:40

I have a workflow (obj.script) and the script updates some fields in the current record, establish a related records, and at last update the status on the current record. After the statusupdate the workflow and button are disabled.

I have some users wich still doubleclick on buttons :-)

When they doubleclikc, the wf i started two times abd it establish to related records.

I have also have some users wich always generates three related records (They quicly click three times, just to be sure that the workflow starts :-) )

How can I prevent theese users from starting the workflow many times?

The wf-buton startes a couple of triggers and then sets a status on the record, wich will deny further use of this wf.

Hi smartsys,

You can assign a page to a workflow action so after a click, any trigger will not execute until the user click on the save button of the "Status Page".

I will file enhancement: disable all buttons on page when Workflow Action button is clicked (similar to when "Save" button is clicked on "Edit" page).

Hi Orchid,

It is a solution to use a extra page, but it is not an optimal solution.
