I was asked this question... Someone is installing Rollbase private cloud (Linux 64-bit). They are asking if Rollbase (v2.1) needs to be Oracle Java 7 or is it OK to use OpenJDK 7 instead ?
Please, could anyone confirm if both are supported by Progress or only Oracle Java 7?
The answer is that (officially) Rollbase only certifies and supports Oracle Java 7.
(There was some early testing with OpenJDK that were not promising -- mostly related to system crashes under load in scalability testing).
