You should place "Aspose.Words.jdk15.jar" file in your tomcat/lib folder to support .Doc and .Docx

You can find the following message down the file upload filed.

"MS Word Reader is not available. Please consult Chapter 18 on how to purchase and install it. "

If you're mentioning the version I take it you're using Private Cloud? Either way, I just tried to create a Document Template in one of my objects passing a Word doc and it worked fine. What Word version format are you trying to use?
