My question is in regards to the mass update functionality. When going to perform a mass update, the system states 'any fields left blank will not be updated'. There is a date field on an object which is incorrectly populated for about 1000 records. I'd like to select the records in question, and do a mass update to make these fields null. Is there a way to null out a date field via the mass update? Or can it only be used to populate fields? Thanks.
Correct, and this would be a good enhancement. One way to clear out a date field is to create an Update field value trigger and run that trigger on all records from the Object definition view page.
