Hi Guys, Can you let me know what time/s and how often the indexing is run? I added a new client and application 'matthew wilson' a few hours ago, but can't search for him yet. Not a big deal, but i need to explain to users how it works. Thanks heaps, Matt.
Search index should update itself within minutes. If that does not work for you:
- verify that field you're searching is indexable
- submit request to re-create index (I'll do it for you now)
I frequently have the same problem.
For some reason, some record are being indexed while other aren't.
I haven't been able to identify the trigger to this problem.

It's a bug I've been having problems with for some time now. It's happening more and more. The problem seems to be random, and therefore hard to reproduce. It's not something you're doing wrong.
I'm reindexing my zone regularly, but would love to see a solution.
Try re-index your customer from Customer View page. Unfortunately Lucene engine which we're using is not 100% reliable.
I am surely not looking at the right place but where is the "Customer View page"?
I can't find this page or this object in my workspace...

I started reindex procedure for your customer zone.
Thanks Pavel for adding the menu:
Setup > Administration Setup > Global Text Search
Now I can re-index the text search for any object.
