Is there a way to control access to the Compare & Send To group actions? Also, shouldn't the Compare group action honor field level visibility permissions? Or can I control what fields are visible? This is a problem for exposing sensitive data. Also doesn't make sense to have fields like template fields generating HTML output for display purposes on the compare page. As for Sent To group action, would like to be able to disable where it doesn't seem logical to have it available.
Fields permissions should certainly be honored, this was probably overlooked, if so - will be fixed ASAP. As for other items - we need to discuss with our PM (Matt).
Thanks for taking a look at this
Merge and Convert options can be disabled by editing Role's permissions - please check Chapter 11 for details.
Hoping this can be extended to Send to and Compare
We can add a new Administrative permission to control Send Email functionality. However I would be hesitant to do the same about "Compare" functionality since this is nothing more than viewing records, and rights to view records are controlled elsewhere.
"Send Emails" is now controlled by Administrative permission.
Thank Pavel, this is great
