Replace function within footer of HTML Javascript report giv

I get the message: Error Cannot call method "replace" of undefined (line #5) in formula: var rbv_api = new Packages.com.rb.core.services.api.ServerSideAPI when using javascript replace functions within the footer section. This function works within the loop body, without problems. Any idea?

Thanks for the reply. I will have a look in detail and check whether i can put the code in a different way. I will submit a ticket when i encounter problems.
