Relationship-based permission issue

Posted by Rollbase User on 06-Jun-2012 04:14

Hi Pavel, I just noticed a minor issue in the count of records when I use relationship-based permissions. This happens when a record is being attached twice to different relationship on the same object. Administrator View: Resource View: Notice the record counter Bug 1-5 of 7. Personally, I think this counter should be corrected so it may prevent user confusion. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Please check if you have enabled both relationship based permissions and record creator view permissions, disable either one of them since they are in conflict with each other.

There may be small caching issue - counters are stored in temporary cache to improve performance. Please give me more info to reproduce the issue.

in your case its the two assigned to fields which both have relationship based permissions enabled and are assigned to one user record

Here's the ERD:

Please follow these steps to reproduce the issue:

1.) Create at least 1 bug and non-admin user record.

2.) In the bug record, attach the user to the 'developer' and 'qa' lookup.

3.) Check the list view of the bug.

I can't disable any of the relationship-based permissions. I actually have 3 of these, my task would be much easier if I could use this functionality.

This should work now.
