When you place a document template field token in an Email Template, the document gets attached to the email (when you use a workflow action to Send Email). However, I can't get this working with a related record's document template.
For example, the email template contains:
Hello Account Owner,
A list of your purchase history is attached to this email.
{!account_document}
{!LOOP.BEGIN.R12345}
{!R12345.purchase_document}
{!LOOP.END}
The Account Document template will get attached to the email, but none of the related purchase document templates will get attached.

Thanks for checking on this. I had the "Send Email" workflow action set up as a Group Action and that's why it was not attaching the files. I unchecked the Group Action property and the templates get attached as expected. I will leave it as a single record action.
