Editing Section Headings

I notice that editing in Firefox is more like IE now, which is problematic. When editing a section heading, for instance, you cannot click within the heading text to make a change, but must start at the end and backspace to where you want to type. Nor can you highlight a word for deletion, but rather must backspace it or delete it character by character. Any chance you can bring back some of that old time lovin'?
