What is the easiest way to make a date/time field populate with a datestamp when an action (workflow) button is used on a page view?
When workfolow action is run updated at / updated by stamps will change. If this is no the case please submit support request.
I am talking about a new date/time field added separately for reporting purposes. Example: when workflow changes to approved I want the approved date/time field to populate at that time. Use for reporting and calculating time line between different workflow statuses.
1. Create Date or Date/Time field
2. Use trigger to populate it with current date when status changed to certain value
I just finished example"Recording Date of Status Change", will be added to Chapter 10.
