Document Template with multiple objects for merging?

Can you do a document template and merge data from an object AND a related object? So text fields from the original object and other objects related to that object all in one template?

Yes, you can. Use 1st drop-down in helper UI to select relationship, than select field from related object in second drop-down.

Hi Pavel,

How I can refer to a field in the related object? I can use only the name of the related object, but I cannot refer to an internal field of the related object.

If you have several related objects, all of them will appears separated with comas, but I want a kind of LOOP_BEGIN/LOOP_END style. For example the original behaivour is:

related_object.name1, relate_object.name2, etc.

But I want to have:

{!#LOOP_BEGIN. R11235416#11236265}

Where in the middle I want to specified not only:

object.related_object (standard behaviour)

I want to have the following:

object.related_object.field

{!#LOOP_END. R11235416}

The LOOP doesn't work either.

Do you have any solution to create a report with the fields of the related Objects?

Thanks,

Sergio.

Hi Sergio,

Apologies for the delayed followup on this. Did you solve the problem? Accessing related fields within loops in templates is a standard feature. Let me know if you need more feedback.

Regards,
Matt
