I know the documentation on Portal isn't available yet - the updated version, but right now my focus is on two things: 1.) getting a casual user to create their portal account via a portal and 2.) to get that user to see their data and only their data. Are there any docs or tutorials in place already to assist? Thanks, Charles
Try this:
1. Create an object "Visitor" with "Portal Visitor" attribute
2. On your portal create a page "New Visitor"
3. Allow User role "Portal Visitor" to create an instance of "Visitor"
4. Allow "Visitor" to create/view/edit "Data" records through "Creator" role
We'll provide a more detailed documentation as soon as time permits. Meanwhile you can try to install one of existing apps, such as Recruitday, and see how this works there.
