I have created a picklist with 5 values, Company A, B, C, D and E. I then created a dependent picklist which contains values(products of companies) that are categorized according to its designated company. I am having a problem when 2 or more companies have the same value. If they are the same, the values of the dependent picklist are erased when the page is refreshed.

This is currently a limitation with dependent picklists, each related item can only be used once. We understand this is very limiting and will be working to enhance the dependent picklist field soon to remove this limitation.

Try to use related objects instead of dependent picklists - this should be free from limitations.
